Spatiotemporal Data Science Laboratory (STDS)
Lab Intro.: Dr. Chun-Hsiang Chan established the 'Spatiotemporal Data Science Laboratory (STDS)' in January 2023. We aim to leverage vast amounts of spatiotemporal data analysis and artificial intelligence techniques to study the diverse impacts of human mobility on Human Dynamics, contributing to the realization of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. The focus involves dissecting urban population flow networks and cross-border migration networks to understand their spatiotemporal flow characteristics. These findings are applied to various issues such as travel demand forecasting and planning, mental health, and social media marketing. Moreover, the lab is dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence to develop new technologies and algorithms. It aims to analyze spatiotemporal features within various big data sets, providing decision-makers with insightful information, solving practical problems, and expediting existing analytical processes. This includes areas such as smart disaster prevention, vehicle-to-everything (V2X), smart cybersecurity, and clinical medicine research (osteoporosis and emergency medicine). We welcome all students and people interested in interdisciplinary data science to join us! |
